Did you know ketchup is a non-Newtonian fluid with thin shearing properties?
What You Need
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1.5 tsp pumpkin spice or nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger
- .5 cup of softened butter
- ~.5 cup ketchup
- .5 cup water
- 1 cup maple syrup
- An egg
- A small loaf pan. Mine was 7″ x 4″ x 2″
- For icing:
- A tub of cream cheese (about .5 cup)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 0.5 tbsp butter
Do This
- Preheat oven to 350°F/ 175°C
- Mix everything but the vanilla, cream cheese, and powdered sugar together
- Pour batter in the pan
- Bake loaf for about 60 minutes, until a toothpick in the center comes out clean
- Remove cake from oven and set aside to cool
- As cake is cooling, mix vanilla, powdered sugar, rest of the butter and cream cheese together
- Frost the cake and eat it
