I threw a bunch of stuff in an Instant Pot and this is the result

What you need

  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 cans of chickpeas
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • .5 cup marsala
  • .5 tbsp black pepper
  • .5 tsp Chinese 5 spice
  • 7 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 cup farro
  • 3-4 big chonkin’ Swiss Chard leaves
  • An Instant Pot

Do this

  • Put the Instant Pot into sautĂ© mode and add the butter
  • When the butter is melted, add the onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes
  • Add the garlic and cook until fragrant
  • Dump everything but the chard into the pot. Do not drain the chickpeas before adding them
  • Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes
  • Rip the chard leaves up and add them. Simmer for another 10-15 minutes
  • Eat the soup.
